大阪生まれ。洗足学園音楽大学指揮研究所にて指揮を秋山和慶、河地良智、川本統脩、スコアリーディングを島田玲子、⻄川麻里子の各氏に師事。またオーボエを前川光世、リヴィウ・ヴァルコル(元フランクフルト放送交響楽団首席)、室内楽及びオーケストラ・スタディを中川良平の 各氏に師事する。
現在まで数多くのオペラカンパニーで指揮し、音楽スタッフも務めている。 2015年より洗足学園音楽大学非常勤講師として後進の指導に当たっている。
海外では2011年フランスのアングレームで開催されたコミクストゥス音楽祭に招待され、音楽祭室内アンサンブルを指揮。シェーンベルク、ミヨー、リヒャルト・シュトラウスなどの作品を演奏し好評を博す。翌2012年にも同音楽祭に招待され、フランス中部のトゥール歌劇場との共同制作によるコンサートを指揮し、メゾ・ソプラノのニコル・ブーシェ、俳優のマルク・ルグラと共演。さらにアングレームにあるフォーレ音楽院の教授と学生からなる “オルケストル・エクト ル・ベルリオーズ”の定期公演および演奏旅行にも客演し、すべての公演を成功に導き、新聞各紙で高い評価を得た。
2017年にはオーストリア・アイゼンシュタットにあるエステルハージ宮殿内のハイドンザールでハイドンのハルモニー・ミサとオペラ「月の世界」の公演で指揮を務め、満員の聴衆から絶賛された。また2018年にチェコのプラハで行われた「プラハ・クラシックス」音楽祭に招待され、チェコ・ フィルとプラハ放送交響楽団のメンバーらと共にドヴォルザークの交響曲第8番他を演奏し高い評価を受けた。
今後イタリア・トスカーナ州で開催される「オルベテッロ・ピアノ・フェスティバル」に招聘されている。
Born in Osaka, Takeshi Kuse studied conducting with Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Yoshitomo Kawachi, and Toshu Kawamoto at the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Conducting Institute, and studied score reading with Reiko Shimada and Mariko Nishikawa. He also studied oboe with Mitsuyo Maekawa and Lviv Valcor (former principal of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra), and chamber music and orchestral studies with Ryohei Nakagawa.
To date, he has conducted and served as a music staff member for numerous opera companies. Since 2015, he has been teaching younger students as a part-time lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
Overseas, he was invited to the Comixtus Festival held in Angoulême, France in 2011, where he conducted the festival's chamber ensemble. His performances of works by Schoenberg, Milhaud, Richard Strauss, and others have been well-received. He was invited to the same festival the following year in 2012, and conducted a concert co-produced with the Tours Opera in central France, performing with mezzo-soprano Nicole Boucher and actor Marc Legra. He also appeared as a guest on regular performances and concert tours of the "Orchestre Ecto Le Berlioz", a group made up of professors and students from the Fauré Conservatory in Angoulême.
In 2017, he conducted a performance of Haydn's Harmony Mass and the opera ``The World of the Moon'' at the Haydnsaal in Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt, Austria, which received rave reviews from a packed audience. In addition, in 2018, he was invited to the Prague Classics music festival held in Prague, Czech Republic, where he performed Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 and other works with members of the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, which received high acclaim.
He has been invited to perform at the Orbetello Piano Festival in Tuscany, Italy.
1977年東京都出身。⻘山学院大学文学部教育学科卒業。大学在学中より音楽教育及び宗教音楽について岡井晃氏の指導のもと研鑽を積む。
指揮法を横島勝人、清水宏之の各氏、クラリネットを加藤明久、高橋邦之の各氏に師事。宮城教育大学で開催された指揮者講習会において、パスカル・ヴェロ氏(仙台フィルハーモニー管弦楽団常任指揮者)より直接指導を受ける。
2019年には、首都圏の大学に所属する120名以上の4年生が「学生時代の集大成として、大学ごとの枠組みを超えて共に新しい音楽を創造する」と云った理念のもと組織され たリアンフィルハーモニーオーケストラ2019の指揮者として招聘され、ショスタコーヴィチ: 交響曲第7番「レニングラード」をはじめとする大編成のプログラムを成功に導いた。
地域における文化振興への取組みとしては、2018年及び2022年に地域の子供から大人までを対象としたポピュラーコンサートの指揮者として宮前フィルハーモニー交響楽団との共演や、2019年及び2021年には「音楽の街 あさお」を掲げる川崎市麻生区で開催された「麻生音楽祭」で麻生フィルハーモニー管弦楽団と共演する他、多くの市⺠オーケスト ラとの共演も重ねている。
2020年にはアンドリュー・ロイド=ウェバーにより作曲されたミュージカル『ホイッスル・ダウン・ザ・ウインド 〜汚れなき瞳〜』(東宝)の指揮者として公演に携わる。
現在、METT管弦楽団、オーケストラギフト、横浜交響楽団、獨協大学管弦楽団におい て指揮者として活動する他、宮前フィルハーモニー交響楽団、麻生フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、江東シティオーケストラ、八王子フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、日野市⺠オーケストラ、横浜シティ・フィルハーモニック、横浜シティ・シンフォニエッタ、法政大学交響楽団100周年記念オーケストラ等、首都圏を中心に客演指揮者及びトレーナーを務めてい る。
Ken Tanaka was born in Tokyo in 1977 and graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Education. While attending university, he studied music education and religious music under the guidance of Akira Okai.
He studied conducting with Katsuto Yokoshima and Hiroyuki Shimizu, and clarinet with Akihisa Kato and Kuniyuki Takahashi. At a conductor's seminar held at Miyagi University of Education, he received direct instruction from Mr. Pascal Verot (Permanent Conductor of the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra).
In 2019, more than 120 fourth-year students from universities in the Tokyo metropolitan area formed a group based on the idea of ``creating new music together, transcending the framework of each university as a culmination of their student days.'' He was invited as the conductor of the Lian Philharmonic Orchestra 2019, and led a successful large-scale program including Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7 "Leningrad".
As part of our efforts to promote culture in the region, in 2018 and 2022, he performed with the Miyamae Philharmonic Orchestra as a conductor for popular concerts for local children and adults, and, in 2019 and 2021, collaborated with the Miyamae Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to performing with the Aso Philharmonic Orchestra at the Aso Music Festival held in Asao Ward, Kawasaki City, which promotes the theme of "Asao, the city of Asao," he has also performed with many civic orchestras.
In 2020, he was involved in the performance as a conductor of the musical ``Whistle Down the Wind ~Innocent Eye~'' (Toho) composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Currently, he is active as a conductor for the METT Orchestra, Orchestra Gift, Yokohama Symphony Orchestra, and Dokkyo University Orchestra, as well as Miyamae Philharmonic Orchestra, Aso Philharmonic Orchestra, Koto City Orchestra, Hachioji Philharmonic Orchestra, and Hino Municipal Orchestra, He serves as a guest conductor and trainer mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including the Yokohama City Philharmonic, Yokohama City Sinfonietta, and Hosei University 100th Anniversary Orchestra.
